\Krieg und Cholera\" (\"War and Cholera\"), after a charicature by Heine in 'Simplicissimus\", 1912. The subtitle reads \"Civilization halts its entry into Tripoli\". This caricature was drawn during the Italo-Libyan War of 1911-12, when the Italians seized the country from the Turks. The war led to the capital city, Tripoli, being devastated by a cholera epidemic as water supplies were destroyed. The war ended with the Treaty of Ouchy on 18 October 1912."
