A smallsword, Amsterdam, circa 1780. A double-edged blade, with lenticular, then flattened hexagonal cross-section. Somewhat stained. Ornamental etching and gilding on the ricasso including the maker's inscription, "Clement Wolffers". Chiselled openwork iron hilt with remnants of gilding. Grip wound with silver and copper wire. Length 92 cm.
