The stamp surface is a mirror image of the crowned city coat of arms of Leiden, held by two standing lions on a ground with garlands. Around it the circular: SEAL OF THE COMMUNITY LEAD. The handle is turned balloon-shaped. The stamp is in a matching zinc box with a lid. At the front of the box is a U-shaped recess for the handle, 1927
