Dunster in West Somerset dominated by the Priory church of St George which dates back to 1097


William de Mohun in 1097 founded the Benedictine Priory of St George as a daughter cell of Bath Abbey. As the town of Dunster grew as a result of the wool trade there was a need for a parish church and this was resolved in 1499 when part of the Priory Church became the Parish Church
