Mr. Bennett was againmarried, in 1872, his second union being with (Stage) Stewart, who was a native of Clifford,daughter of Jonathan and Elizabeth (Schoonover)Stage, the former of whom was a shoemaker bytrade. She passed away in November, 1896. Tothis marriage was born one child, who died in in-fancy. Mrs. Bennett had one child by her firstmarriage, Ella Maud Stewart, who now makes herhome with oui subject. Since coining to Clifford township Mr. Ben-nett has been almost continually in office, havingserved as township supervisor, auditor, schooldirector, poormaster, etc. He is a supporter of theRepublican party, and, in religious connection, afaithful member of the Met
