After graduat-ing from the academy, he entered the Ohionormal university, of Ada, Ohio, from whichhe graduated in 1879. The Ohio nonnal uni-versity is one of the best schools of Ohio andfor several years has had the largest enroll-ment of students of any school of its kind inthe state. It is a progressive institution inevery way, giving full scope to the individualcharacteristics of the scholar. Its literarysocieties are among its most prominent fea-tures.
