The image is of the First World War Marfaux British Cemetery near the village of Marfaux. The cemetery is a consolidation cemetery of soldiers who died in the 1918 Marne Offensive being brought in from other cemeteries. The cemetery also has a special memorial to the New Zealand Cyclist Battalion who remain MIA. The cemetery contains over 1000 casualties, 300 unidentified many kia during the fierce battle on 20 July 1918including that of John Meikle who was awarded a Victoria Cross for his gallantry on that day
