Clypeal margin strongly reflexed and produced in front into two rounded lobes which, with the rounded sides, give the effect of a fourfold division. Anteiinse 10-jointed, with the club moderately long. Labrum broad, vertical, without a median process. Mandibles meeting one another, blunt at the extremity, without teeth. Maxilla terminating in three strong teeth ; palpus long, with the terminal joint broadly oval. Mentum short, broad, very prominent beneath, with the ligular part very broad and 4-lobed in front, and the palpi short. Elytra long, covering the pygidium.
