Greece, Lesbos petrified forest in the west of the island

, Sigri, Lesbos, Greece - The island of Lebos is the third largest island in Greece and the eighth largest island in the Mediterranean. On the island live about 86,000 inhabitants. Petrified Forest in the west of the island was created 15 to 20 million years ago. A volcanic eruption of the Ordymnos buried the fallen trees under a rain of hot ashes. Hot springs then dug the tribes with mineral-rich water, which petrified the trees into a natural monument. View of the natural landscape. Lonely donkey is looking for food.
