Receiver head covered by front mount socket,but various acceptance marks eagle/"135" and barrel root marked "44D" which means produced at Mauser's,Oberndorf,at the end of 1944,beginning of 1945. Thin,spotted finish. Chamber thinly grey phosphatised,milled-off safety catch(replaced),matching-numbered firing pin,round gas release holes,without action spring guide.
