A young boy gazes at a barge full of reclaimed supermarket trolleys and other scrap metal moored up at Kingston Riverside.

Thames 21, environmental river clean up charity, spent the whole weekend scuba diving for scrap metal in and around Kingston Riverside with students from Kingston University image shows what they managed to salvage for recycling. This barge is full of rusty supermarket trolleys dumped in the Thames. Close up images show the metal encrusted with rust and silt. Kingston is a popular place to live and work, so much so that property is at a premium. The area has excellent schools and the historical centre is a successful commercial shopping centre. A Royal Borough, two Royal Parks, Richmond and Bushy are very close by for people to enjoy.
