Lumley Castle in County Durham in north-east England. The castle is now used as a luxury hotel. The castle is more than 600 years old and situated in woodland. It can be seen from County Durham's Riverside cricket stadium. The founder of the castle, Sir Ralph Lumley, played a key role in the defence of Berwick-on-Tweed (1388) and led the attack at the Battle of Otterburn.
