Rear Adm. Bette Bolivar, Commander, Navy Region Southeast, and Naval Air Station Whiting Field executive officer, Cmdr. Jim Brownlee walk out to greet the commanding officer, NAS Whiting Field, Capt. Paul Bowdich, after landing at the Navy’s newest outlying field. Bowdich then kicked off the ribbon cutting event for a crowd of about 85 people to commemorate the opening of the field for flying training operations.
