The restored one-room interior of the log house built by John Long in 1851 for his family. The design was fairly typical for rural homes at the time it was built. The final owners of the home were Henry and Rosina Binns who lived in the house from 1921-70. In 1976 the house was dismantled and moved to the grounds occupied by the Ulysses S, Grant home in Galena, Illinois.
