This was a shot taken at the War and Peace show at Paddock Wood, Kent. Its one of the biggest military fairs in Europe. Exhibitors from all around the world come and set up mini-shows. They dress in uniforms relevant to whatever era they are re-enacting and use trenches and vehicles to make the set as realistic as possible. I decided to get a tight focus on the barbed wire while leaving the guard blurred, this gives an almost ominous feel to the shot, as if the fence is dangerous enough you have him to deal with if you get past it.
