MYRTLE In the beginning of the present yearthe public announcement was made thatour company, with the formal approval ofthe Federal Power Commission in Wash-ington, was about to enter upon thedevelopment of water-power projects uponthe upper reaches of the MokelumneRiver in Amador and Calaveras counties;also, that this work was to be undertakenunder a government license transferred toour company from the original privateowners; also, that the purpose of this workwas to provide additional power and waterstorage facilities for the companys Electrapower system in Amador county.
