Disability Action Network (DAN) is based in Hargeisa in Somaliland. It is a charity which works with disabled children and young people helping them to access health care and provide them with therapeutic rehabilitation. DAN supply and fit orthopedic appliances and physiotherapy when needed. Somaliland is a very poor country and to many not living in the capital Hargeisa health care is very difficult to come by. DAN received the STARS Foundation Health Award in 2008 for outstanding work. Here moulds of clump feet made in plaster to build shoes in the right shape and size.
