View SW of the remains of a Medieval longhouse (running centre L to rear R) & yards (front R) at Widow's Tenement, Lundy Island, Devon, UK. The C14th farmhouse has opposed central doorways with a cross-passage dividing the living accomodation for the family at the upper W end from the livestock in the lower E end. Three yards (gardens or stock pens) are attached to the rectangular house at E, NW & SW. The farmstead is set in a roughly diamond-shaped enclosure whose low stony bank may be prehistoric in origin. This large field just N of Threequarter Wall is cut by the Trinity House track to North Light.
