This monster is to be seen on the Tournaifont of Lincoln Cathedral, and on Normantympana such as those of Barfreston andRidlington, Rutlandshire. At Ridlington itseems to be fighting with a Hon. At Barfrestona tiny griflin is placed in the right-hand bottomcorner of the tympanum, which contains OurLord in glory, a sphinx, a mermaid, angelsand crowned heads.
