Child belonging to the Agaw people ( Ethiopia)
Originally, the Agaw are farmers living in different parts of the Ethiopian highlands. This child is hailing from the Sekota region. Because of the drought, her family has left her home to come to Mekele ( the capital of the Tigray state) for doing menial jobs or begging. Despite being orthodox christians, Agaw who have migrated to Mekele are despised by the local population ( mainly orthodox christians) because they are very poor, illiterate and dirty.
