In Leptoptilus arrjala the corresponding dimensions are 0,02-Jr and 0,032; those of Pelarrjopsis magna being 0,015 and 0,018. Leptoptilus therefore differs very widely in the proportions of the distal extremity from the present genus. Forsyth-Major Collection. Purchased, 1889. Genus PSEUDOTANTALUS, Eidgway '. In this genus and the closely allied Tantalus the tarso-metatarsus has a deeper anterior groove than in Leptoptilus, and the distal end of the tibio-tarsus is much compressed. 1 Proc. Nat.
