Interior of Beckminster Methodist Church Wolverhampton, circa 1926

Beckminster Methodist Church, Wolverhampton, c 1926. A view of the church interior, showing the original seating. This photograph was most likely to have been taken in 1926 when the church was built in Penn Fields. The church is situated in what was then a newly developed area of Wolverhampton, and was the result of the formation of the Penn Road and Bradmore chapels which subsequently closed. The overall site, with frontages to Birches Barn Road, St. Phillips Avenue and The Minster, also contains a Sunday School which was built at a cost of £4000.
