It is important that each bundle or jiackageof the cancelled checks be carefully packed orwra|)|)ed so as to avoid loss or exposure enroute,and that checks be stamped with Cancelledstainj) furnished for this purpose, as soon aslifted from baggage, to prevent manipulationof checks, as per the instructions covering theuse of the cancelled stamp. At large stations, where large numbers ofchecks accumulate, the checks sent in for sal-vage should be shipped in a packing box,instead of in PACIFIC RAILROAD, [OF MO \o.
