Recruits of Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, walk with logs during a physical training session at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Feb. 23. Drill instructors instructed the recruits to stay in step with one another to maintain balance within the groups. Staying in step is a form of discipline that teaches recruits to get used to working together. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Golf Company is scheduled to graduate April 29.
