Soldiers from the Latvian Special Operations Forces (SOF) exit a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter from C Company, 2-10 Assault Helicopter Battalion, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, during a Fast Rope Insertion and Extration System (FRIES) training at Lielvarde, Latvia, on May 17. The brigade and members of the Latvian SOF worked together for an entire week to qualify members' skills for elite troop insertion techniques such as static-line parachutes, military freefall, and FRIES.
