5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (Aug. 16, 2018) Quartermaster 3rd Class Aleksandr Sarvirov tracks speed and course from the bridge wing of the guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) as the ship conns alongside the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Laramie (T-AO 203) for a replenishment-at-sea. Dunham is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
