Tricresyl phosphate (TCP). Molecular model of the compound tricresyl phosphate (). This organophosphate is used as a plasticizer in nitrocellulose, acrylate lacquers, varnishes, and in polyvinyl chloride. TCP is the cause of numerous poisonings and is a neurotoxin, in part via organophosphate-induced delayed neuropathy. Atoms are represented as spheres and are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white), oxygen (red), and phosphorus (yellow).
