Shire Council offices, Boonah, c 1958. The Goolman Division was incorporated in 1879 with its office in office in Flinders. The office was moved to Boonah in 1887. The Goolman Division became part of the new Normanby Division in 1890. It 1937 it was renamed Shire of Boonah. Part of the shire was added to the City of Ipswich in 200 and the shire was absorbed into the Scenic Rim Region in 2008.
