Arabian babbler on a branch. Arabian babblers (Turdoides squamiceps) are found throughout much of the Arabian peninsula and Middle-east. They inhabit arid scrubland and savannah, and have a very varied diet that includes insects, small vertebrates, leaves, berries and seeds. Photographed in the Negev desert, Israel, in September.
