The elevador de Santa Justa is in the center of Lisbon. It is a 45metre high tower containing two lift shafts and was completed in 1902 . On its upper level is a sightseeing platform reached by a spiral staircase. The lower entrance is in the Baxia district and the upper level is connected to Largo do Carmo by a walkway. it was made a national monument in 2002
