Preparing cell culture. Pipette being used to add cells to a nutrient medium (pink) in a petri dish. The petri dish will be placed in an incubator, and the cells will grow and multiply in the nutrients and the warmth. The cells can then be studied and used in further research. A wide range of cells are grown and studied in this manner, including cancer cells and stem cells. Photographed at the Genethon Laboratory in France.
