Bordeaux, France, satellite image. North is at top, water is blue, urban areas are grey and vegetation is green. Bordeaux is located in southwest France, north of the Aquitaine region. The river Garonne flows through the city dividing it into two parts. Bordeaux is famous for its wine, with around 117 000 hectares of vineyards. Photographed on 1st July 2001.
