Expert Infantry Badge and Expert Soldier Badge candidates start a 12-mile ruck march as their last major event for EIB and ESB testing at Fort Stewart, Georgia, Aug. 20, 2021. Candidates completed four days of intense testing in both rough weather conditions and a COVID-19 mitigation environment followed by a road march and a final tactical task on day five after two weeks of train-up to obtain the coveted badges.
