A female Greater Kestrel, Falco rupicoloides, perched on bare branches against a pale blue sky in the Kalahari Desert. The Greater Kestrel, also sometimes known as a white eyed Kestrel is one of the largest Kestrels and are found in the arid and semi arid regions of Southern Africa.
