The distance of the beginning of the spermatheca duct from the genital aperture and its origin on the side of the oviduct varied even in the same species, for example, in Achatinella vulpina from 2 1/2 mm. to 5 1/3 mm., in Partulina nojttii from o to 1 1/3 mm. Comparison of my figures with those of Pilsbry listed on page 34 showed close agreement.
