She spoke with him on the subjectfrom time to time, and he took the oath of allegiancebefore leaving the hospital. She served three years and seven months, then re-ceived an honorable discharge, April 1, 1865; and asshe went to seek to regain her health after a seriousillness, she wrote to a friend thus:— 440 OUR ARMY NURSES.
