Dragon Boat Festival, flag catcher takes the flag during the dragon boat race, Liyu Lake, Hualien County, Taiwan


"Dragon Boat" is a canoe style human-powered boat used in the team paddling sport of dragon boat racing which originated in China over 2000 years ago. "Dragon Boat Festival", the festival occurs on the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar on which the Chinese calendar is based. The Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu Festival in Mandarin) is a traditional and public holiday in Taiwan.
