A Yare Dancing Devil shows his mask attached to his chest. Every year on the ninth Thursday after Holy Thursday the Diablos de Yare dance to celebrate Corpus Christi day Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity declared by UNESCO in 2012. Los Diablos de Yare dance through the streets of San Francisco de Yare in Miranda State, staging the triumph of good against evil. It is a tradition that has been going on for 234 years where faithful to the Catholic religion celebrate Corpus Christi Day in Venezuela.
