The Erechtheum part of the Acropolis in Athens Greece with the The Porch of the Caryatids or Maidens with six female columns on its south side. The temple was built between 421 and 406 BC possibly by architect Mnesicles. The sculptor and mason of the structure was Phidias. In 1801 one of the caryatids was removed by Lord Elgin and was later sold to the British Museum.
