Village of Kourkoumelata in Kefallonia island, Greece.

The village of Kourkoumelata is one of the prettiest villages of the island of Kefalonia and is located 10 kilometres from the capital. Kourkoumelata was totally destroyed by the earthquake of 1953 and was completely rebuilt with the financial support of the ship-owner Giorgos Vergotis who reorganised and rebuilt the village according to the neoclassical architectural tendencies of those times.
