GULF OF OMAN (Nov. 22, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Ryan Stockman fires the gun aircraft unit 21 from the inside of a Viper MH-60R Sea Hawk Helicopter of the Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 48 during an in-flight live fire exercise. HSM 48, assigned to the guided-missile cruiser USS Monterey (CG 61), deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
