BLACK SEA (Oct. 11, 2014) – Fire Controlman 1st Class David Santino hands Cmdr. Dennis Farrell, commanding officer, the bullet casings from the 21-gun salute fired during a memorial ceremony to honor victims of the Oct. 12, 2000 terrorist attack aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Cole (DDG 67) stand at attention. Cole, homeported in Norfolk, Va., is conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
