Con-tracts are taken for the complete woodwork for houses,stores, office buildings and other forms of construction work. Fine Storage Facilities In connection with the plant is what is consideredto tbe one of the finest dressed lumber storage shedsin Canada. It is 90 feet square and constructed of sheet metalsiding to conform to the building by-laws of the D. C. Baird. St, Marys. Ont. and covered with prepared roofing. The building ison a cement foundation, with cement piers runningthe full length of the sides and also under the flooring Canadian Woodworker and Furniture Manufacturer 57 :>n which the lumber is piled. There are three drive-ways or lanes each of 13 feet width in the shed, andentrance is gained through large sliding doors. Lum-ber in all lengths up to 18 feet on the outside and 24feet in the centre is piled on end in the various stalls,|which are eight feet square. Underneath the plank[flooring is a 3 foot air space, which is tiledrained andiallows free circulation of air. In the centre at the front of the building is theprivate office of Mr. Baird, as well as the general office,both of which are panelled and finished in B. C. interior is attractive and inviting.
