The 50th Expeditionary Signal Battalion-Enhanced (ESB-E), 35th Corps Signal Brigade welcomed their new commander during a change of command ceremony at Fort Bragg, , on June 16, 2022. Lt. Col. Merlin Kynaston, an Elizabeth City native, assumed command of the 50th ESB-E from Lt. Col Mallory Wampler. The ceremony was officiated by Col. Bernard Brogan, the commander of the 35th Corps Signal Brigade.
