Army National Guard 1st Lt. Randal Krebs, a native of San Antonio, Texas, provides security as members of the Provincial Reconstruction Team Kunar staff conduct quality checks and speak to locals as part of a patrol May 12. Krebs is the platoon leader for the security force element for the provincial reconstruction team, and is deployed from Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 143rd Infantry Airborne out of Austin, Texas.
