SAN DIEGO (Feb. 2, 2018) The amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) transits the San Diego Bay in preparation to pull in port. America, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is returning from a regularly scheduled deployment to the Western Pacific and Middle East.
