In view of the necessity of a first-class magazine inwhich autograph collectors may find a channel for inter-communication, and as a medium through which inquiriesmay be made concerning letters, documents, etc., apper-taining to the history of our country, as well as for thediffusion of knowledge in reference to this interestingstudy, space in The Historical Register is devotedto these purposes, edited by a well-known MILITARY ORDER OF THELOYAL LEGION OF THE UNITED STATES.
