The presentbuilding is seated for 414 people, but will admit of galleries for 290more j there is ground for schools, but until the heavy debt is greatlyreduced, this necessary work must be deferred. Pastor—FRANK H. WHITE. THE old iron building, which had been in use for about 20 years,has now given place to a noble and substantial structure. Thenew Tabernacle is situated on the old site, Talbot Road, is somewhat Byzantine in its architecture, with a semi-circular frontageof red brick and terra-cotta. Externally, it presents a most invitingappearance. The interior shows an open roof of pitch pine, with aclear span of 62 feet, capable of being thrown open to form part of thegeneral auditorium. The seating capacity is for 1000 persons, butquite 200 more can be accommodated. Its entire cost, inclusive offurniture, heating apparatus, architects fees, &c, is ^6,500. With its splendid proportions, the uniqueness and simplicity of itsarrangements, the comfortable feeling created as you enter, the fact thatnot a single column or pillar is to be seen, to obstruct sight and deadenso
