Shaw, of the Market Flower Shop, of Bellingham, was a recent trade visitor. He states that plans for the coming tulip festival indicate that this year's event will easily surpass anything previously held. The publicity board of the Seattle Florists' Association met at the home of Harry A. Crouch last week, and made arrangements for the necessary Easter advertising. It was voted that smaller space should be used for this day and funds conserved for a campaign later in the season, when the public would be less inclined to buy stock. F. W. McBratney, with the B. E. Hammond Co., has returned from a short business trip to Calgary. Several medium-sized luncheon deco- rations were handled by Kenney's Home of Flowers. W. D. Desmond advises that general transient business has shown an increase. Mrs. Eugene Sandahl returned to help the Orpheum Floral Co. out through the Easter holiday rush. Consistent win- dow displays and the featuring of fine stock have kept the sales of potted items up well for this shop.
