Possible Bronze age Minoan-period limestone stone quarry near Melidoni on the south west coast of Kythira, Greece. The stone is soft and easily carved, appropriate as a building material, and for the carving of mortuaries. The Minoan civilization was an Aegean Bronze Age civilization that arose on the island of Crete.
